According to a new document from gaming historian and writer Liam Robertson, the former Activision-owned theater Toys For Bob began working on a online Crash Bandicoot sport after the Spyro Reignited Trilogy was finished. However, the business therefore began working on the release of 2020’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. That match was well-liked by fans and critics, and Toys For Bob began planning a follow-up.
This new activity, known internally as Crash Bandicoot 5, was planned to be a strong sequel to Crash 4 and would be a single-player 3D platformer, like past comments in the long-running company.
Robertson’s movie includes idea art and probable story ideas for this never-finished Crash movie. The developers had intended to include Spyro in the movie at some point, according to the report, who claimed that the two would have collaborated to protect their respective universes from a massive catastrophic function. Players would even be able to see both characters ‘ universes in this world pitch, and both characters may be playable.
About the document, Kotaku has reached out to Activision.
According to the review, Toys For Bob primarily concentrated on principle art and first conditions on Crash 5, working on it for about three to four months. Crash 5 was canceled by Activision in the winter of 2020, allegedly as a result of Crash 4‘s lower profits and the publisher’s desire to concentrate on online games rather than single-player names. Then Bob’s games helped him create Crash Team Rumble, a brief but enduring online activity that you possibly forgot even got started.
Fortunately, Toys for Bob was able to live all this. In February, the company announced that it was going indie and would operate alongside Activision-owner Microsoft on a new job. It’s now reported that Toys For Bob is developing a novel Spyro activity.
