Gears Of War 6 is still unavoidable, even though we get a prelude to Gears of War in Gears of War: E-Day. Rod Fergusson, a former Gears of War producer and recent Diablo 4 lead, revealed what his future plans were for Gears 6 in a new IGN episode. In brief, he was going to get the game to place. Righto.

When asked what he thought about Gears Of War choosing the prologue route, Fergusson responded that it was inevitably a “really intelligent” choice despite not being in line with his unique plans for Gears 6. He was then, of sure, asked what those intentions were.

The big question is asked at around the 7: 30 tag. Watch on YouTube

Gears 6 was intended to leave Sera, Fergusson saying,” I was really getting us off Sera, so we had to leave Sera,” Sera being the continent Gears is set in, all Locussed up, and in a terrible situation. After finishing this, he mentioned how the account may be centered around the rocket technology used in Gears 5: The Union of Independent Republics.

” We were kind of laying the grains and the framework that in taking over that UIR place, we’ve adopted their room program”, Fergusson said. But what I wanted to do with Gears 6 was to face what that might mean for the rest of the cosmos or at least the rest of the renewable program. Not that you’d be hopping]between planets ], but… it was old, Russian-era, sputnik-type tech, so we were n’t going to start Mass Effect-ing this. It was really on,’ this get you to a fresh spot to experience what this looks like.'”

I do n’t know if the Gears storyline’s previous” we’re shipping off elsewhere” approach would have worked as well together. If something needs changing about Wheels it’s certainly the characters. Without leaving Sera, I wish the line would replace the dreary JD Fenix and i. with a more intriguing lineup. Maybe they’re never yet COGs. Perhaps we lean strongly toward the life horror that the initial did so well? There’s so much more to mine in Sera, I think, before you start introducing foreigners.
