New Turkey-based mobile games studio Grand Games has raised$ 3 million in a pre-seed funding round.
Earlybird Digital East Fund and Laton Ventures both led the expense. The funding coincided with the sweet launch of the company’s first name, Magic Sort, a riddle game designed around matching colors.
Many to sing
Grand Games founders Mustafa Fırtına, Mehmet Çalım, and Bekir Batuhan Çelebi all formerly worked at Good Job Games, where Fırtına and Çalım led creation on Zen Match.
The theater, which is reunited with Grand Games, wants to use this money to expand the team and release more titles. Since the studio’s founding only four months ago, there have already been four or more full-time employees.
The workshop will observe that title up with Car Match later this month along with the soft-launch of Magic Sort. The bank’s “flagship name”, however, is expected to launch in first 2025 with a focus on social interaction.
The group attributed the team’s use of AI to the quick launch period of its first two games. Every Grand Games name that is currently being developed has used the technology, whether it’s to use Midjourney for idea art or to use AI from a code level. In reality, up to 30 % of each game’s software has been made with AI.
A “billion-dollar company”?
” We saw how divided mobile game growth had become, and we used this opportunity to create a radically unique business from what we were seeing on the market,” said Elebi.
We see an opportunity to develop a billion-dollar business as a result of utilizing the most recent AI technology, which is enabling us to create and run games more quickly. The majority of mobile activities created today are frequently badly executed copies of effective titles.
What sets us apart from other companies is” sharp murder combined with development.”
Earlybird Digital East Fund’s Oguzhan Ozer commented:” It’s been a great joy to carefully see the brilliant growth of Turkey’s game ecosystem for more than a decade, to become a leading global hub, particularly after Peak’s exit.
” We are very careful investors, and knowing the challenges of the industry with the outsider see, have approached it slowly. The group quality and their perception set Grand Games apart from other teams, which persuaded us, and we are very excited to help them in their trip.
Earlybird Digital East Fund made an$ 11.5 million investment in Peak Games well over a decade ago, in 2011 in a round that included the company’s$ 11.5 million square. That studio, which was acquired by Zynga in a$ 1.8 billion deal, has released major hits like Toon Blast, which recently surpassed$ 2.5 billion in earnings through a newfound revenue surge.
