Executive producer Katsuhiro Harada, who translated from developer Michael Murray, told VG247 in an appointment with VG247 about the past and future of the Tekken set in its 30th anniversary that the couple might have just one more Tekken in them before handing the reins to someone else. &# 13,
In response to a topic asking Harada what he hopes for the future of Tekken, this is made. He also discusses another topics, including why Tekken is the last 3D fighter left, and why other IP has suffered so much while Tekken’s reputation has faltered. You can read the full interview here. &# 13,
” It’s truly hard to tell. Myself and Murray, we might only have one more Tekken, owing to time and how that plays out in Japan and advancement, and things like that. 20-30 times is a long time, so you might have another group, that’s just the way businesses work, best? It’s kind of special with the Tekken staff, even if you take the two of us apart, there’s also the producer and people who are officials on the group, we’re all in a similar age selection. Everyone on the group has been with the crew for at least 20 years, which is kind of unusual. After we leave, it might turn into a very unique activity. It could be more relaxed, who knows? It could be like Smash Bros” !&# 13,
After he and other senior staff members who have been around for decades step aside, Harada continues to voice his concerns about power balances within the Tekken staff via Murray. &# 13,
” I’m very concerned actually because there are many factors in making a match. But, obviously, there’s the table of the business, and the finance people with their goals and such for the sport financially and how it relates to the company. They’re obviously pretty solid, as you would imagine. Therefore, having a creative area where citizens are well-versed in the game and understand what it needs to be is very important.
However, there must be a message on the development staff who can speak with such a loud voice that they can be heard on the same level of the floor. So I’m concerned that if you have a creative side, you wo n’t be as successful as the people in charge of the business. I worry about how that’ll enjoy out”. &# 13,
But, when I asked him if he was concerned that his departure would weaken the strength of the artistic development team for Tekken, he responded with confirmation as well as further elaboration via Murray. ” Yeah. It’s a tough balance, honestly, because if the imaginative side is stronger than the board of the company side- that happens often, right- therefore the company might certainly survive. ]laughs ] So, it is a delicate balance. &# 13,
If you’ve been a Minecraft lover for longer, it’ll become hard to imagine a prospect without Harada, Murray, and many of the top prospects who have acted like rock under the growing Tekken company. The two I interviewed have a direct relationship with the area on issues that are both major and humorous, and they are very little the faces and voices of the game.
This is not a new issue, especially with Chinese activity growth, where a couple renowned, renowned designers have led the charge on various businesses over the years. Many of these famous names began in the early days of the PlayStation, or even earlier! It’s just natural that more popular brands and personalities did eventually have to carry the torch. For a powerful example of this, one needs only to look at Street Fighter 6’s younger, optimistic skills, which one hopes will happen for all great video game franchises.
